What do you get when you cross the Asperger's gift (like Bill Gates' Titanic mind) with the Bi-Polar gift (like Jim Carrey's speedboat mind)? You get a Titanic speedboat mind. What happens when you add love for everyone in the world to those two gifts? Peace.

Don't be fooled. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not unto thine own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your path. Fear the Lord and turn from evil.

@devourerofbabies ~ Georg W.B. has no conscious, other than his own self.

Wait, is he saying that Ghandi had a higher level of consciousness than George W. Bush?

@SamiLuukkanen I think consciousness could be the one thing in our experience as humans on this earth that is definitely not an illusion. Life itself could be defined as consciousness - awareness of our surroundings and of each other, whether we are a cat or a plant or a human or a bacterium. The more complex we become, the more we can be aware of, going from awareness of and reaction to sunlight, and water to what we are capable of experiencing today.

What if what you call a consciousness is an illusion? That would be a more functional and simpler theory. Our knowledge has expanded explosively in the past decades. IF a consciousness exists, it's something that has evolved to us (Yet it is limited by the laws of physics), it's simply something that has evolved to us.

furthermore, subjectivity is pretty much an aspect of human mental capacity failures, the phrase "everything is subjective" is an objective claim itself, even "some things are subjective" is an objective claim by claiming these, you *automatically* assume the position of whatever that view point is that's outside of the situation and can see everything now, as for stage 7 in the hierachy... all the other 6 stages are just 7, if I must use your terms do more research on history dude!
noobler9 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
gonna have to be terribly honest, this hierachy isn't very factual, science has ALWAYS been under the banner of philosophy, it is derived from, and answers a *few* questions of philosophy at least, that used to be asked constantly, life sciences and so on have always existed, or rather ideas about life the reason that the going's getting good more and more is because what you're calling "materialistic science" is finally getting it's hands on it, and making announcements on it heh
noobler9 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
this video makes a massive error in judgement if it thinks that science and materialism are bad things, most of the people with problems with materialism and stuff are the people with mental disorders in the first place the tribal eden that's mentioned was basically one of the most unhappy periods in time for humans, there's a reason things changed steven pinker shows that since records have been kept, with a slight bias in favour of tribes, violence has gone down since history began
